I'm wondering if they actually got away with much more than the 60k they are being charged with?

It just seems like with a Pitboss, dealer and a player all involved they could've came up with something significantly better.

I would say this is very difficult to catch except for the fact that they did it so many times in a short period. I doubt they caught him on the first time and let it run 11 more times. Cosmo probably one of the worst places to do it though. If they did snap him off early, kudos to them.

I could tell you right now, if I was colluding with just a dealer, I could make off with a lot more than 60K, and not give the DA a good case against us. This is a garbage scam.

The fact they chose baccarat to do this crap on is stupid too. If they did it at blackjack it's soooo easy to pay a push or push a loser multiple times. I mean hell, have the dealer have a few drinks before his shift and then dump the table to the accomplice. Worst case scenario if they get caught is he'll get fired for coming to work intoxicated, but he's unlikely to face criminal charges.

I was wondering why Baccarat as well. I thought maybe because the dealer and supervisor only synchronize up on the Baccarat tables. It seems Roulette would be a far better situation. Or just flashing hole cards. Obviously there had to be far better situations. Pit boss shouldn't have been involved in any decision making and should have been utilized only to tip off the other 2.

Add in: the legal fees, the fact that the floor will never work in the industry again and neither will the dealer ... and you wonder how long they thought the computers would not notice the table was running in the red?

The only 'intelligent' criminals are the ones that don't get caught. Of course you and I don't know about those. And I don't mean it is justified or smart to be a criminal or steal, etc., I am just referring to the intelligence level of a criminal in figuring out the logistics and countermeasures of his opponent--as to if he/they will get detected or not.

Oh wow. I "know" the dealer Adam Halderman. He was a very personable and approachable dealer whom you can carry a good conversation with. Met him a few times when I was playing at the $25/$50 tables on the floor during the day/afternoon in the early days of the Cosmo. That was when the Cosmo had five bac tables going.

Also I don't know why folks called this cheating. This is just plain old vanilla thievery amongst the participants.

Superstitions are silly, childish, irrational rituals, born out of fear of the unknown. But how much does it cost to knock on wood? 😁 Note that the same could be said for Religion. I.E. Religion is nothing more than organized superstition. 🤗
